Canadian Country Music legend “George Canyon” joins Becca on “Love You Back”

For Immediate Release: June 20th, 2022. Vancouver, BC
Canadian country music legend George Canyon joins Becca on “Love You Back”, a song about the weight of three words that change the course of every relationship. This powerhouse record sinks its teeth in with massive vocals and an insatiable rhythm.

Written by Arizona artist and veteran musician Donny Grubb, CCMA award winning artist and songwriter Aaron Goodvin (“You Are” and “Boy Like Me”, and the double platinum-certified “Lonely Drum”) and BC’s own Country Music Hall-of-Famer Kenny Hess.

George Canyon rose to becoming one of Canada’s hottest Country Music stars in the early 2000’s and has won countless accolades and awards, including Juno Awards, CCMA Awards, and ECMA Awards to name a few. He has been inducted into the Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame, recorded 12 albums, and was presented a certified Platinum Award for his debut album ‘One Good Friend’. With country iconic hits like Just Like You, I Believe in Angels, Drinkin’ Thinkin’, Daughters of the Sun, I Got This, I Want You To Live, Slow Dance and many, many more, he is also a highly regarded humanitarian, strong supporter of the military, and, most important, a proud father and devoted husband.

Singer…..songwriter….performer….show producer Becca Hess is rooted in a country music legacy (Dad/BCCMA Hall-of-Famer Kenny Hess) but her sound is all her own. With classic influences and an eclectic, fresh approach, Becca’s compelling performances and big rich voice captivate listeners. Her soulful songwriting radiates throughout her sophomore album “Truth”, which was recorded under the production guidance of Tom and Carly McKillip (CCMA Producer of the Year) and bolstered by two years working with Nashville producer Byron Hill.

The lead out single “Stranded” debuted on SiriusXM Country and garnered 4 BC Country Music Award Nominations including Female Artist of the Year, Single of the Year and won her the title of Industry Person of the Year. Her follow up single, “Sleeping Around” was added out of the gate to SiriusXM Country and became a fan favourite on Spotify playlists. Her spring single “It Ain’t Love Yet” became a fan favourite at radio.

“Love You Back” featuring George Canyon is available June 20th on all purchase and streaming platforms, and available to Canadian radio.
