Canadian Country Music Week

CCMA DAY 2 ✌🏻 - Met my insanely amazing ment

CCMA DAY 2 ✌🏻

- Met my insanely amazing mentor / new bff @annestirk and has the best waffle fries in Kelowna

- Sat in on sessions with producers, agents and songwrtiers

- Had pizza and pride celebrations at Redbird for the Y’all means All event

- Watched traditonal artists @noelinehofmann and @jake_vaadeland perform at Sirius Top of the Country

- Missed the Reno line dance session at the Ok Corral (video coming!!) 😩

- Saw @thecamwhitcomb pop a flip and absolutely gut the audience with The Hard Way

- Finished the night with my band and producer in the hotel lobby, hence waking up to put frozen spoons on my eyes.

Bonus: thought I could outsmart my sensory issues of going to bed with a wet event wristband, so I showered in saran wrap. It did not work 💀

CCMA DAY 1 roundup: - Kicking off the week honour

CCMA DAY 1 roundup:
- Kicking off the week honouring the lady of the hour @lisabrokop with this OG 90s merch

- Saw my friends @teigsxo @aaronjgoodvin and some new favourites @robynottolini @shawneekish smash it at the soundwriters round

- Took out a mortgage to pay for Kelowna parking 📝 *walk tomorrow

- Fed a field mouse yam fries under the table (sorry Cactus Club)

- Got to see so many friends and took zero pictures, ironically after sitting in on a @jessmoskaluke seminar about content creation 😅

Day two here we go!

Spent most of this year getting back on my feet af

Spent most of this year getting back on my feet after double hip surgery. After 18 months of imaging and injections (and hobbling around on stage) we bit the bullet and booked back to back hip surgeries.

Hell of a winter guys 😅 but we did it. Surgeries were 6 weeks apart which meant 4 months of granny life, another 4 months of physio and now I can finally put my own boots on 🤠

Really grateful to the team of people that took such good care of me.
- Pat quite literally carried me through these last few months, along so much help from his mom Jill.
- Everyone who visited, made food for us, drove me around or called - thank you 🥰
- My surgeon and specialists have been so wonderful. If you need any ortho surgery, I highly recommend seeing Dr. Christopher Day in Abbotsford and Dr. Parth Lodhia in New West.
- McCallum Physio has been my second home since December.
- Eagle Ridge hospital should probably switch majors but that’s another story hahah

It’s been a quiet year for shows while I have been recovering but I’m ready to get back on stage!
